Goal One: To provide an enriched and extended curriculum that will complement the core instruction provided by homeschooling educators.

Goal Two: To provide homeschooling families access to additional resources that will supplement home school instruction.

Goal Three: To provide homeschooling families a connection to the public school setting, but do not offer a full array of educational services, including special education services.

Students will spend the year exploring the Elements and Principles of Design. They will use a variety of mediums, tools, techniques, and processes to create works of art.

Essential Questions that will be explored throughout the year:

Who decides what art is?

Who determines whether or not art is “good.”

What skills and vocabulary do I need to do art?

What separates craft from art and who decides?

In Music, students will get to explore and create a wide variety of styles of music, perform music on different instruments, and learn about different composers and regions. Students will also build their knowledge of how to read music.

-How will I use music throughout the entirety of my life?
