How to Write a Job Winning Resume Applicants should always do their best when creating a resume to make sure that it get noticed. Using keywords that are picked up by recruiting management software after being scanned, assist in the application process. A good resume helps the applicant get that all important interview. It should be remembered that personal information i.e., birth dates, social security numbers, hobbies and other personal information should never be included. The applicant should never make the recruiter guess important employer information: job title, employer's name, dates of employment and job duties. They should always remember to be informative and not long- winded. The Do's: • Always put job experience in reverse order – last or current job first and list the information is this order: Title/position, name of the employer, city/state of employer and dates of employment; • Educational achievements should be entered on the end of the page; • Turn accolades into numbers – ex. “managed 12 agents” or “managed a 3 million budget; • Always identify strengths - these are key entries • Detail all skills and accomplishments – be consistent; Where’s there’s do’s, there will always be some don’ts: • Never write paragraphs – Recruiters love to glance at resumes and resumes should be scannable,(remember the software); • Don’t make the Recruiter guess – make sure job titles are in bold;
