Proceeding with Pinterest• If you have decided that Pinterest would
be a good option for your business, you will need to remember the ‘social’ in social media.
• Do not oversell. You are joining a community, not spamming everyone.
• Pinterest has a high trust value amongst users, so pin and re-pin with the idea of offering real value to users

eg, media, brand, retailer• Password should be at least 6 characters

How to Pin• All of your main choices will
show under your logo when you click it, including:
• Add a pin from a site• and Upload a pin • You can also create a board,
manage your profile and settings and find friends and follow boards on this menu

Adding Details to Pin Uploads

1 Upload your own image
2 You can create a new board if you do not already have any set up. Just click on the Create Board toggle.
3 Fill In the details. You can also check the box to crosspost to Twitter. Then pinit and it will show on your board.
Hints for Formatting Pins• Use creative titles• Use keywords • Tag others with the @ symbol• Add prices to products if your goal is direct sales.• Add a URL, but shortened ones are NOT allowed,
such as from tinyurl or bit.ly• Credit your sources when possible if you are not
creating the images in-house.• Ask questions in order to encourage comments and

Your Pinterest Boards

Each is in the same format: Name of Board, which you can edit, cover image, which you can select, and images of the 4 most recent items you have pinned. Click the EDIT button to edit each board.

Re-order your Boards• As you add content to Pinterest, you will create
more and more boards.• You can reorder the boards by dragging and
dropping them into any order you like
Set a Board CoverIf you do not set a board cover, then the last item you pinned will be the main one that shows. This can be good for some of your boards in order to show that your boards are updated regularly with interesting content, but for your business boards, be sure to set a board cover that reflects well on your topic and on your business. Food and recipes are the #1 topic at this site.

Edit Boards and Pins
Scroll over the top of any pin to pin it, send it to your followers, or edit it. The edit button will also allow you to delete it. This is useful for limited time offers or in case you find you have duplicated items on the same board.
Click on any board you have created. Find a pin you want to edit.
