HOW TO REDUCE THE EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb

To the teachers who I respect, to my beloved friend, and everyone who attending in this place, thank you very much to give me time so I can stand up here in front all of you to deliver a speech.

On this happy morning, let us reflect and pray together for a moment, hopefully we are up this morning still blessed with happines by God the Almighty, given the power to give thanks always. And let us prove to keep running and stay away from the obligation imposed by Allah the Lord is the Most Just.

Well, today, in this very special moment, let me stand here to deliver a speech about How to Reduce The Effects of Global Warming.

Imagine if the land we tread on today will be sunk and become an ocean. I am sure that there will be

no one can survive. Did you know, what is global warming?

Over the past 150 years, humans have been burning more and more fuel. The fuel is used to power

the vehicles and the factories, and also to generate electricity. The vehicles and the factories produce carbon

dioxide. The extra carbon dioxide is increasing the green house effect. That’s why the earth is getting warmer.

What is the greenhouse effect? Some of the gases in the atmosphere, like water vapor and carbon

dioxide, are called greenhouse gases. The green house effect is very important and useful. If there were no

greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, all of the things in this earth will be freeze. But, if the green house effect

increases, the earth will be very hot.

The earth is getting warmer, so now the ice at the North and South poles is melting. The volume of

the water in the ocean rises and can cause flood in the coastal areas. The other effect of global warming is

changing the earth’s climate, making some places hotter and others colder.

Friends and teachers,

The global warming is happening now. We can’t stop it quickly, but we can reduce the effects little by

little. I will tell you some ways to save energy and help to reduce the greenhouse effects.

First, we can save the electricity at home, at school, and at work. If you turn off light, television, and

the computer when you have finished using them, you save a lot of energy. The second, we can save energy

and keep healthy too, by riding a bike, or walking to school instead of using a motorbike. I am sure you can.

Walk more! The third is planting trees. Planting trees is fun and a great way to reduce greenhouse gases. I just

remind you, don’t cut down trees in your environment! The fourth is recycling. We can recycle cans, bottles,

plastic bags, and newspapers. When we recycle, we can save the natural resources, like trees, oil, and metal.

Those are several ways that we can do to save our environment from global warming effects. Remind

your family, your friends, and even your teachers to do these things. Saving the environment and saving the

energy means SAVE THE FUTURE!

I think that’s all my speech for today. Thank you very much for your attention. Once again I just want

to say, STOP GLOBAL WARMING!
