Why are people in living poverty ?• Over 1 billion people suffer from poverty –

children can’t get an education , hardly any money for food or necessities causing death injuries and diseases.

• People in third world countries are dying because of unfair trade. People all over the world are working for 50 cents or less on clothes that are hundreds of dollars

What is unfair and fair trade ?• Unfair trade is when people exchange goods

and services but they do not trade equally (eg : someone traded a country 100 thousand apples for 35 thousand bananas ) that most certainly would be unfair as it is not equal causing one country to have less than what they traded for .

• Fair trade is when people are equally trading their goods and services eg : ( if you traded 100 thousand apples trading equally would mean you would get the same or close thing in return like 100 thousand bananas

What can we do to stop poverty and unfair trade?• Poverty is in our lives people have been trying to

stop the poverty and unfair trade process .• We can attempt to stop the poverty in the third

world countries by protesting against the unfair trade products they produce , such as coffee ,chocolate clothes and many things .this is a good way because the people that own the unfair trade companies will realise that their sales are plummeting and have to pay the minimum wage to earn money from their sales .

What can we do to stop poverty and unfair trade• Here in New Zealand we are a fair trade country

and we should influence the world to become fair trade countries . We should start donating to the families not to the companies because they are the ones in need this should help if we donate food, water ,shelter and housing supplies . We should start doing something for others and spend less time thinking about ourselves and start to realise we are in one of the best counties and we shouldn’t ask for anything more as we are secure and safe and not fighting for our lives with unfair trade

Facts ?• For every one dollar given to less fortunate and third world counties two dollars is lost to unfair trade in more wealthy countries across the globe.• Over 2 thousand people die each day in third world counties because of poverty !
