Student Registering for the ACT:
Congrats! You are taking an important step in preparing for college. Most colleges use your ACT scores to determine what college classes you need to take in English, math, reading, and science. Many scholarships are based on the ACT score as well.
PLEASE take this test seriously! Read through and practice each problem in the study guide. Don’t
wait until the last minute. If you need more test prep, we have additional free material and books in the Student Service Center. Mr. Hutchcraft in room H231 can also provide you with a free login for online test prep.
Know where to go ahead of time and be on time (7:30am)! Over sleeping or “forgetting” to go take the ACT is unacceptable.
If you received a fee waiver- you have been given a great opportunity. This test normally costs $36 ($50.50 with the ACT Plus Writing). Please use it wisely by studying for the test and doing your best on the test. If you qualify, you may receive a total of two fee waivers that can be used during your junior and senior year of high school. You will then be responsible for paying for any additional tests.
