How to Login to Gmail for Students

1. Open your web browser of choice, In this tutorial we will be using Google Chrome

2. In the address bar type : www.gmail.com (see below)

3. Once you have reached the Gmail page, you will now need to login. This is a TWO step

process. Firstly you will need to enter your email address. This will be in the form of your

computer login name with “@dowstu.catholic.edu.au” at the end. DO NOT ENTER A

PASSWORD ON THIS STEP. (see below)

4. Click the sign in button and then you may be presented with the CEnet login page. If you just

logged into the internet previously you will not see this screen, and then press the

Authenticate button

5. If you have not used your school email address before, you will be prompted with a Google

user agreement screen. You can just press the I Accept. Continue to My Account button at

the bottom left of the page (see below)

6. You will now see a loading screen where your email address is above and a progress bar

below. This means that you are being logged in so you will just need to be patient. (see below)

7. After this screen has disappeared you will be logged in to your email account and ready to

send and receive emails. (see below)
