How to grow your Network after an Event
Creating and sustaining social connections from an event is very important for your business. After an event or conference,
be diligent in organizing your contacts and following up.
I recently went to Tory Johnson’s Spark and Hustle, and want to share how to keep your networking growing.
Start by taking all the business cards you collected at the event and creating a new contact list, labeled with the event name.
I use “Contacts” on my mac.
Next, be sure to connect on social media platforms. Search for the people on Linked In, Facebook and Twitter. Then you can stay up to speed with their businesses.
Create at a separate group, “Top 50”. These people are your favorite connections from an event! Determine who they are and pay special attention to them
because they will add value to your business.
I met Tracy Negoshian at Spark and Hustle and can’t wait to sell her clothes at my store on Cape Cod.
To stay up on your Top 50:1.Send an email how wonderful it was to meeting them.
2.Take a picture with them, then use this photo to add to address book so you remember their face.
3. Use the photo to write a blog post about your new business relationship, and share your story.
Remember your network is your best business currency. Follow up quickly after an event to keep your networking growing. #suebdoesit
