CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is an entrance exam conducted by the government of
India for the teachers. The test is compulsory for the teachers teaching to standard 1 to 8.
Two papers are conducted, first paper is for class 1 to 5, and paper is for class 6 to 8. In
2011 first exam was conducted. The passing criteria in this exam are 60 percent.
This paper is carrying out twice in a year and it consists of 2 levels i.e. level I and II. The
exam is of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper consists of 5 sections and each
section carries 50 marks. There is no negative marking and multiple choices of questions
are asked and all are objective, each carries 1 mark.

after filling their registration number on the official site of CTET.
The exam for CTET will conduct in January 2014 and there will be two shifts. First shift is for
the primary level i.e. paper 1 which will held in the morning and second exam will be paper
2 for the upper primary level in the noon shift. And candidates who want to appear for both
the levels can sit for both the exams.
