TRANSCRIPTION: Alright, I'm going to show you how to diagnose your throw. Some people say "Well, 5 to 6 paces
doesn't work for me. I can't stick it to the target."
Now, there are a couple of factors going to stick in to your target. One is the actual sharpness of the
blade. If you're not sticking into your target and it's always hitting dead on, either like this or like this,
then you need to try and sharpen your blade or you're using too hard of a wood for your target.
But, some people actually have it go, they'll throw it like this to have one rotation and if it's not
rotating enough it will hit here and bounce off. If it's going and it's not rotating enough and it hits here
that means it needs more time to get to the target which means you need to back up. So, you back up
maybe half pace or a full pace which is about 3 feet. So you can back up and then it's going to allow
the time to get to where you want it to be.
Now if you're too far away, what will happen is it'll come, it will rotate and then it will over rotate and
you'll hit here and it's not going to have enough velocity and force to get this sunk in because it's
going to have this handle bouncing off. It's going to set here and bounce off.
So, the way to diagnose is if you're too far it'll over rotate and hit the top. If you're too close, it'll
under rotate and hit the bottom.
