In Case of:

Exchange Database Corruption

Migration from Older Version of Exchange to Newer

Exchange Server Backup

Pre-requisites

Administrative account

Shared Folder with at least write permission

More Available Space in comparison with Mailbox Size

Steps to Export Exchange Mailbox

Step 1

Go to Installation Directory of Exchange Server (For Ex: C Drive) and Create New Folder (abc is folder name in my computer).

Step 2

Go to Properties of abc folder by rightclicking on it.

Step 3

In Properties window click on Security Tab

and then click on Edit Button.

Click on Add button to add user or group.

Step 5

Now Click on Advanced button to Select users,

Computers, Service Accounts and Groups.

Now, Click on Find Now button.

Then select Exchange Trusted Subsystems

Then click on OK button.

Now you will see Exchange Trusted Subsystem

in list of Group names and users.

Allow at least write permission to users.

Now again go to Properties of abc folder

and click on Sharing tab.

Now click on Permissions button.

Step 10 - Sharing Permission

Allow permission to Exchange Trusted Subsystem

or Everyone.

Step 11- Exchange Management Shell

Now run Exchange Management Shell (EMS).

Step 12 - Assign Management Role

Run given Command in Image to Assign Management Role to Administrator user account for accessing Active Directory domain. After execution of command restart Exchange Management Shell.

MAILTEST is Active Directory name & Administrator is user account.

Step 13 - New-MailboxExportRequest

Now run New-MailboxExportRequest Command for Export Mailbox items into PST file. See Image for Complete Command.

In command:

WIN8 is Server Name, abc is shared folder, & admin.pst is name of new PST file

Step 14 - Get Export Process Status

Now get status of processed request by running Get-MailboxExportRequest command. See image for complete command.

Step 15 - View Exported File

After Completion of Export Process go to shared folder and check exported PST file.
