MBR installed by TW to replace existing failing system
Olympic Park – Old Ford Water Recycling Treatment Plant
Aim:
– To reclaim treated wastewater effluent for non-potable, secondary use
– distributed to the Olympic Park via a separate dedicated non-potable network
– toilet flushing, irrigation, energy centre cooling and water features
Why?– Water scarcity– Sustainability – helping the ODA meet and exceed their 40% water efficiency target
(570,000 litres/day of potable water saved)
Activities involved:
– Design, construction & commissioning, operation
– Liaison with stakeholders (OFWAT, EA, DWI, HPA, ODA)
