1What is a gift certificate



A gift certificate is an e-card with a monetary value which is presented as

a gift to someone

A buyer buys it as per his choice of amount, which he can gift to someone

The recipient can then buy anything within that amount from your store

A gift certificate is an inbuilt functionality provided on your Goo2o store

Creating a gift certificate means configuring or managing the settings as

per your need and wish

Step 1:

Log in to your store admin panel with your login id and password

Click on the ‘Promote’ tab and then select ‘Gift certificates’

Step 2:

Click on the ‘Continue’ button or the ‘Manage Gift certificates’ tab

Step 3: Offering gift certificates at your store

You will be redirected to the ‘Manage Gift Certificates’ page

On the ‘Manage Gift Certificate’ page, select ‘Yes’ from the drop down

menu if you want to offer gift certificates on your store

This will enable the sale of gift certificates on your store



Select Yes for enabling the sale of gift certificates


Step 4: Setting an expiry date for a recipient to redeem the

gift certificate

Select ‘Yes’ from the drop down menu to set an expiry date for a

recipient to redeem a gift certificate

The recipient can only redeem the gift certificate before the expiry date

Step 4.1:

Select ‘No’ from the same drop down menu ,if you do not want to set an

expiry date, so that the recipient can redeem the certificate any time as it

won’t ever expire



Select No if you don’t want to set an expiry date


Step 5: Providing an option to buyer for redemption

Select ‘Yes’ from the drop down menu if you want to provide an option to

the buyer to redeem the certificate at a later date

This allows the buyer to buy a gift certificate today and choose any later

date to send it within the mentioned time duration

Step 5.1:

Select ‘No’ from the drop down menu if you do not want to provide an

option to the buyer to send the gift certificate on some later date

The purchased gift certificate will be sent to the recipient as soon as the

sender completes the checkout process



Select No if you don’t want to set a later date


Step 6:

On the ‘Manage Gift certificates’ page, you will find different gift

certificate design templates under certain categories

By default all of these will be visible on your store

Step 7:

You can choose to disable any of the templates by un checking the

checkboxes

Disabling any of them will hide that template on your store

Step 8:

You can select the category of templates you want to make visible on

your store by selecting it from the drop down menu

Select the status of templates as ‘enable’, ‘disable’ or ‘all’ from the drop

down menu to enable or disable their visibility on your store

Step 9:

Click on the ‘Set price for this category’ link to set a price for all the gift

certificate templates under that particular category

You can set or change the price for a particular gift certificate by clicking

the ‘set price’ & ‘Change price’ links respectively

Step 10:

A pop up message box will appear

You can specify the price range for each gift certificate by specifying the

minimum & the maximum amount & click the ‘Save’ button

Click on the ‘Save’ button found at the top of the ‘gift certificate’ page to

save your settings
