To add new GADGETS to your blog, or to delete ones

already there, go back to the dashboard and choose

LAYOUT. CLICK ON 'ADD A GADGET'

if you want your blog to be

more like a website is 'PAGES'.

This allows you to create a

navigation bar to stand-alone

pages in your blog! It can

display as a navigation list, or

even as tabs underneath your

header.

Back to the dashboard, click on the down arrow again and this time choose pages. To add a new page to your blog, click on the drop down menu and choose a blank page or a web address to send readers directly to!

I made a new page called "online databases". On the right side of the page I can click on page settings and options to decide if I want to allow reader comments.

This is where you can decide how your

pages navigation will show on the homepage.

To write a post, click on the

pencil. Your posts will be on

your 'home' page - the page

where you will blog.

Let's say Jan Brett was

visiting your library. In this

example, I will write a post

and insert a video, too. Click

on the video icon and then

click on "From YouTube".

ready to write your first post!

A list of videos will come up. Click

on the one you want and click

select.

The video will appear now in your

post draft. Finish writing your post

and then click "publish".

Finally, if you want to TAG your post,

before you publish it, click on LABELS and put

your tags in.
