How should we deal with stress as a Muslim?

We all know that this world is not a bed of roses. In this life we face a lot of difficulties. With

these difficulties Allah has given to all us the abilities to deal with these difficulties. In our life

we face the stressed situation many times. Mental, physical and spiritual tension is created by the

stress. As a Muslim we should deal with in special way. Here are ten ways which can help us to

deal with stressed situation.

1. Ask from Allah Almighty- Dua

Submit yourself to Allah Almighty. He is a best listener so ask from him. It is said by Hazrat

Mohammad (PBUH) that:-

“Allah is angry with those who do not ask Him for anything.”

At another place it is said by Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) that:-

“In prayer, he would find rest and relief; He would also regularly ask for God‟s

forgiveness and remain in prostration during prayer praising God (Tasbeeh) and

asking for His forgiveness”.

In Quran E Hakeem it is said that:-

“And spread not corruption in the land after its ordering and call on Him in fear

and hope. Surely, Allah's mercy is near to those who excel.”

So in stressed situation we should remember Allah Almighty.

2. Recite Quran E Hakeem

Quran E Hakeem is a reminder from Allah Almighty. To recite and listen Quran E Hakeem is

beneficial. The central them of Quran E Hakeem is a man and the literal meaning of Man is

forgetful one. Quran E Hakeem deals with all the matters of life. We can get rid from stress by

reciting Quran E Hakeem. In Quran E Hakeem it is said by Allah Almighty that:-

O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (i.e. the

Qur‟an, ordering all that is good and forbidding all that is evil), and a healing

for that (disease of ignorance, doubt, hypocrisy and differences, etc.) in your

breasts, – a guidance and a mercy (explaining lawful and unlawful things, etc)

for the believers”

3. Think over

Issues and trials which come our way possess a definite purpose. We need to realize that any of

us aren’t the only real ones these days that tend to be inflicted using this calamity. There were

clearly people who came before us, and so they were screened in related ways or maybe worse

techniques. Out of these people, the people who keep on being steadfast for the teachings

associated with Allah subḥānahu ta'āla (glorified along with exalted end up being He) regardless

if bad periods inflicted on them, glad tidings get to these, and they will be rewarded with Jannah,

the place of satisfaction where believers can reside in forever. In Quran E Hakeem it is said that:-

“Or do you reckon that you will enter Paradise, while (trials) similar to those

(that visited others) before you, have not yet come to you? Suffering and

adversity touched them, and they were shaken441 until the Messengers and

those who had believed in them cried out: „When (will come) Allah's help?' Lo!

Allah's help is close.”

4. Give Sadqa/charity

Offering sadqa brings about relief in times associated with tribulations. Sadqa/charity does not

necessarily relate to supporting someone economically, Sadqa is additionally donating

bloodstream. Give apart some clothes towards the needy versions. This will not likely just supply

your cardiovascular system a relief and you will sense mentally comfortable after supporting

someone out.

5. Have hope

In Quran E Hakeem it is said that:-

“And to your Lord (Alone) turn (all your intentions and hopes and) your

invocations”

So have hope that all the matters will be fine.

May Allah have mercy on ourselves and solve our all the problems. (Amen).
