HOW DO I MANAGE MY DAY
There are many points which I would like to write for managing my day. The points are.
1. PLANNING AND GOAL SETTING
2. ORGANIZING
3. TIME MANAGEMENT
4. TYPES OF THE MANAGER
5. SKILLS REQUIRED
6. HOW DOES MY JOB CHANGE
7. APPROACH USED
8. CULTURE
WEAK CULTURE
STRONG CULTURE
1. PLANNING AND GOAL SETTINGS
Planning involves setting SMART study goals
S Specific – is my reason for doing the course clear and precise?
M Manageable - are the resources and opportunities available?
A Attainable – is it within my ability?
R Realistic – will my circumstances allow it?
T Time – how much time will it involve?
Planning is the most important factor while managing time in a day because if I won’t be having
good planning how would I do the task in a day. Let suppose if guests come to visit us at home
or hostel then I would make batter plan to manipulate them. Same as it is I would make plan for
study also.
2. ORGANIZING AND CONTROLLING
Then the 2nd step which I would like to adopt is to organize.
Quiet, warm, private space dedicated to study
Keep the separate room for study where there is no noise, we can study easily.
Undisturbed – living areas not ideal
The area that you choose for the study should be undisturbed. That should be
calm.
College or city library
Find a place at college or go to the city library where you can study easily.
Study in blocks of time - 40 to 60 minutes.
Don’t study too much give 40 to 60 minutes to each subject that would be
enough for you to study.
Concentration levels only last for so long – vary subjects or topics.
Give concentration to your study and try to understand the topic.
Reward yourself
Give reward to yourself like drink some cold-drink, eat cookies listen songs and
etc.
3. TIME MANAGEMENT
Make a timetable
Plan most demanding activities for the times when you work best
Fit short tasks into spare moments in the day
Be realistic - don’t try to achieve the impossible
The work that you think is easy for you do that work.
Prioritise important and urgent tasks
Give importance to the work which you think is the most important task.
Be flexible - allow extra time for emergencies
Keep some extra time to the emergency works. Don’t give all the time to study
or other work.
Decide where you study best and stick to it
Choose the best place for study which you think is most suitable place for you to
study.
Organise your notes
Try to make your own notes don’t trust on others notes.
Time for Self-Care: fit in exercise, socialising and rest
Give time to yourself do some exercise or have some refreshment that will make
you active and smart.
Learn to say ‘NO’
If you don’t want to do the works directly say “NO”. Don’t hesitate to say.
4. TYPES OF THE MANAGERS
There are 3 types of the managers
Top manager
Middle manager
Front manager
Top manager
In our family our father is top level manager he has to take care each and everything at
home.
He is called the Chief executive officer.
Middle line manager
In our family if we take a look over the middle line manager we will definitely find our mother.
She is working as a middle line manager at home and she has to give all the information to the
top level of manager means the CEO of the family.
Front line manager( Role of the Manager)
As a front line manager I am responsible to provide each and everything at home. And today i
got the orders from middle line manager to bring some vegetables’ for home thought she is the
middle line manager I was not supposed to refuse her. And I did my work. I took care of
younger brothers and sister
5. SKILLS REQUIRED
The skills which i have required for me as a front line manager is Human skills.Human skills are
used to create a good communication between the all types of the managers. If i will not
communicate with the middle line manager then it would be very difficult for me to work at
home. Like if middle line manager will not have communication with me from whom he/she will
do the work.
6. HOW DOES MY JOB CHANGE
As it is job changing concern let me to tell you that for being a front line manager i will do more
work hard and will perform work efficiently and effectively then i can be in the position of the
middle line manager.
7. Approach used:-
The approach that I will be going to use first I would develop myself and will sharpen my skills
to get the other position.
8. Culture
There are two types of the culture
Weak culture
When we don’t have enough information about the company’s doing.
When we don’t feel proud for our company.
Strong culture
When our performance will be best in the organisation we will be very proud for our company.
When we have very good information about the company’s doing and his history also about his
mission and vision our culture will be strong and we sill not find any problem in the
organisation
