MEET CHRIS, PULSAFEEDER’S ELF ON A PUMP! How do we have fun raising money for our community? By dressing one of our executive team members as an elf at Christmas! We raised over $500 dollars for the Alternatives for Battered Women, Rochester, NY chapter.
Our Events Committee asked Tony Mancini, Vice President, Sales & Aftermarket; Dan Kocman, IDEX Operating Model Leader; and Chris Klasner, Vice President, Operations, to each pick a charity. Whoever
raised the most money by mid-December, would wear the costume. For the full day, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the hat, shoes, the works! Oh, and did we mention the hat and shoes had bells, that jingled whenever he moved? All the money raised went to the charity chosen by the winner.
Congratulations to Chris Klasner! He was our Elf on a Pump for 2014!
Chris truly embraced the elf spirit, dancing around and handing out candy canes to all of our employees.
Thank you to all of our employees for making this fundraising effort a great success. We enjoyed raising the money and we loved seeing Chris as our elf, all day.

QUOTE CONVERSIONTeri Wilson, Customer Service
Why should I quote a pump conversion?
Conversions help a customer utilize an existing pump when the process or system conditions change (materials, flow/pressure, control).
How do I begin?
• Verify new requirements• Check sales manual for
guidance• Review listings for that model• Check liquids directory• Are the process needs better
served by a different model or type of pump?
• Consult factory
What questions should I ask for a wetted materials conversion?
• What materials offer best compatibility?• Do temperature or pressure limits change?• Does the flow rate need to be derated?• Do other components change?• Will the process connections change?• Will the piping configuration need to change?
What questions should I ask for a flow/pressure conversion?
• What is the most economical change?• What is the easiest change?• Will pressure limits change?• Are all components rated for the new pressure limits?• Do motor HP requirements change?• Do other components need to change?• Will the process connections change?• Will the piping configuration need to change,
especially in situations where the flow is increasing?
What questions should I ask for a control conversion?
• Enclosure requirements?• Control signal specifications?• Feedback signal requirements?• Configuration of the pump (serial number)?• Operator station required or applicable?
