Honeywell Aerospace Counterfeit Parts Prevention Statement October 2012 This statement outlines the current position of Honeywell Aerospace on the prevention of counterfeit parts in our supply base and subsequent assembly processes in response to regulatory directives. Honeywell Aerospace understands the impact of these directives and is taking action to: cause our supply chain to cleanse legacy inventory; restrict broker buys; and implement stringent anti- counterfeit procurement measures. Honeywell Aerospace is committed to refining and improving our existing Quality Management System and procurement processes to effectively address the problem of counterfeit parts in the supply chain. Our internal Aerospace procedures (AP-1064 series) along with our Supplemental Purchase Order Condition (SPOC 419) are aligned with the requirements of SAE AS5553 Counterfeit Electronic Parts; Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation, and Disposition. Honeywell Aerospace will be modifying our processes to meet relevant regulatory requirements as they are issued and made effective. Further, Honeywell Aerospace is actively participating on industry committees chartered to govern the prevention of counterfeit parts into the aerospace market. Participation includes SAE G-19 Counterfeit Electronic Parts Committee, SAE G-19A Test Laboratory Standards Development Committee, SAE G- 19DR Distributor Risk Characterization Committee, SAE G-19T Definitions Task Committee, AIA Counterfeit Parts IPT, DMSMS & Standardization Counterfeit Parts Committee Planning, TechAmerica Supply Chain Assurance Committee, TechAmerica G12 Solid State Devices, IEC TEC-107 Process Management for Avionics, and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Intellectual Property Rights Subcommittee Advisory Committee on Commercial Operations (COAC). To mitigate the increasingly sophisticated counterfeiting activity in the supply of electronic parts, Honeywell Aerospace’s policies, procedures, and processes are aligned with industry standards. Decisions on materials and processes are made based upon data from industry studies and internal testing. Risks to programs and products are minimized through the implementation and adherence to a single company QMS based upon the aforementioned standards. Counterfeit Parts Prevention Statement

October 2012

This statement outlines the current position of Honeywell Aerospace on the prevention of counterfeit parts in our supply base and subsequent assembly processes in response to regulatory directives. Honeywell Aerospace understands the impact of these directives and is taking action to: cause our supply chain to cleanse legacy inventory; restrict broker buys; and implement stringent anti- counterfeit procurement measures. Honeywell Aerospace is committed to refining and improving our existing Quality Management System

and procurement processes to effectively address the problem of counterfeit parts in the supply chain.

Our internal Aerospace procedures (AP-1064 series) along with our Supplemental Purchase Order

Condition (SPOC 419) are aligned with the requirements of SAE AS5553 – Counterfeit Electronic Parts;

Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation, and Disposition. Honeywell Aerospace will be modifying our

processes to meet relevant regulatory requirements as they are issued and made effective.

Further, Honeywell Aerospace is actively participating on industry committees chartered to govern the prevention of counterfeit parts into the aerospace market. Participation includes SAE G-19 Counterfeit Electronic Parts Committee, SAE G-19A Test Laboratory Standards Development Committee, SAE G-19DR Distributor Risk Characterization Committee, SAE G-19T Definitions Task Committee, AIA Counterfeit Parts IPT, DMSMS & Standardization Counterfeit Parts Committee Planning, TechAmerica Supply Chain Assurance Committee, TechAmerica G12 Solid State Devices, IEC TEC-107 Process Management for Avionics, and the U.S.
