We wait in joyful expectation for the coming of our Lord as King. But what we are told to expect and rejoice over is a meek and humble king, riding on an ass. Not horses or chariots of the great and mighty, but a humble beast carries the Ruler whose dominion stretches “from the River to the ends of the earth” (Zechariah 9:10). This King comes to banish the tools of the warrior and bring peace. No wonder that a weary world rejoices and gives thanks to God!

1st Friday: SACRED HEART OF JESUS Prayers follow the 9:00am Mass every First Friday. Twelve promises are given to those who honor the Sacred Heart of Jesus after nine consecutive months of Mass, Communion, and Confession (eight days before or after) every First Friday of the month.

1st Saturday: IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY Prayers and the Fatima Rosary begin at 8:10am every First Saturday to honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary. PEACE AND JUSTICE MINISTRY Our parish's Peace and Justice ministry meets on the third Wednesday of every month. We will discuss how we faithfully serve our parish and community's social outreach projects in the coming year such as the Self-Help Interfaith Program, www.shipinoc.com, sales of fair trade coffee, tea and chocolate, Concern America's Walk Out of Poverty, Third World Gifts and Handarts.
