1948

EL NACIMIENTO DE ASHOK MOTORS, FUNDADO POR RAGHUNANDAN SARAN. FUE INSTALADO EN COLABORACION POR LA EMPRESA INGLESA AUSTIN MOTORS EL 7 DE SEPTIEMBRE PARA EL ENSAMBLE DE COCHES AUSTIN.

1951

EN ESTE AÑO SE INICIARON LA FABRICACIÓN DE LOS CHASISES PARA CAMIÓNES LEYLAND Y EL GOBIERNO OTORGA LA FABRICACIÓN DE 1000 CAMIONES POR AÑO.

EL PRIMER PEDIDO FUE A LA FABRICA DE AZULEJOS MANGALORE.

1955

ASHOK MOTOR PASA A SER ASHOK LEYLANDCon la participación equitativa de LEYLAND MOTORS, LTD y mantiene el nombre del hijo del Sr. Raghunandan, “Ashok”.

1967

Nace “El TITAN”Primer Double Decker (doble piso) de la India. Con un 50% de sus componentes de la India.

1980

HOSUR 1

SE INAGURA LA SEGUNDA PLANTA DE OPERACIONES FUE INAGURADO POR M. G. RACHAMANDRAN

• Compra el 75% de la empresa OPTARE Plc.para la fabricación de sus buses.
