HBA San Francisco is a boutique studio that takes pride in being a team dedicated to providing our clients with design excellence, personalized service, and new and dynamic designs. We focus on smaller jewel-like projects such as boutique hotels, wineries, luxury residences, retail and custom renovations. We see each project as an opportunity to develop unique and creative design solutions through close collaboration with our clients and consultants. Our office is located in the SOMA district of San Francisco in the heart of the young and exciting tech industry. Our neighbors include some of the world’s most dynamic companies, such as Twitter, Salesforce, Dropbox, and Yelp, to name a few. Our design team has embraced the current technology boom in San Francisco which has enabled us to approach our work in new and exciting ways. We offer new presentation styles with animated 3D walk-throughs, 3D models with SketchUp, customized presentation books and online flipbook presentations for the beginning stages of each individual project. Our presentation in style is just one of the ways we set ourselves apart from other HBA offices. We have been approached by operators and developers alike to produce unique prototype rooms and guestroom studies that push the envelope of conventional design, and in many cases break free from the typical. Clients such as Hard Rock Hotels, JDV and others have enlisted us to produce these original designs. We like to think of our office as small but nimble. Our design team members have extensive knowledge in all design tools including SketchUp, Revit, 3dsMax and Adobe Suite. We take great pride in our diversity with team members from Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Canada, Philippines, France and Brazil. Our team speaks a variety of languages from Tagalog, Mandarin, Cantonese, French and Spanish. As HBA’s boutique studio, we function independently, while still maintining the global support of our worldwide offices. This unique combination of resources and ideology has limitless potential. The iconic view captured from its elegant arched windows is easily one of the most recognizable and frequently photographed vistas in all of Canada. In the public space renovations, HBA worked within the existing classical framework to bring a fresh but timeless revival to these historic interiors.
