Portal Gantry Foundations
Suitable for Managed Motorway projects, Portal Gantry screw pile and grillage foundations are designed according to the structure span length and the ground conditions. Steel interface grillages are used between the pile cap and structure to accommodate the high overturning moments applied by the structure. Cabinets can be integrated onto the structure grillage or supported on separate platforms cabinets, as below.
MS3 Cantilever foundations are designed according to the ground conditions, high impact load scenarios and overturning moments. Screw pile or micro pile foundations are designed to interface with the steel grillage. Cabinets can be integrated onto the structure grillage or supported on separate platforms cabinets, as below.
FLI’s screw pile foundations have been installed to support a wide range of Highways Structures including Portal Gantries, MS3 & MS4 Cantilevers, CCTV, AMI, Sign Posts & Lighting columns, etc.
Screw piles foundations are quick and easy to install, enhances safety and saves time & money on site works. This is a highly sustainable foundation solution with CO2
emission savings in the region of 88%, when compared to traditional concrete foundations.

Higher productivity increases safety and saves time and & money compared to traditional concrete foundations.
