How to Play

STEP 1Auskickers run in certain directions depending on the word you shout:

• “Here” means Auskickers sprint towards you.

• “There” means Auskickers run in the direction you’re pointing, carrying their football.

• “Everywhere” means Auskickers can move wherever they want inside the playing area. Run, jump, hop or skip. Let them know their movement! E.g. “Ok, skipping now, skipping everywhere”!

• “Nowhere” means Auskickers have to stand still on the spot and handball the football to themselves.

This is a fun game that keeps kids guessing; you can even try to trick them with double-ups! But don’t be predictable by using patterns so they won’t know what’s next!

Come up with other new actions to go with each word. For instance, “Nowhere” could mean the Auskickers lie down using the footballs as pillows.

On “Stop” everyone freezes and the shadow tagger reaches out to try and tag their partner.

Now swap roles.

Try playing “Shadow Tag”: The Auskickers are in pairs, with one Auskicker of the pair named the “Shadow Tagger”.

On “Go”, the shadow tagger chases their partner.
