INTRODUCTION
Most of the images in this book can be seen at a
current exhibition in Lunya, Liverpool’s multi-award
winning Catalan deli and restaurant. A version of
this exhibition was held in July 2012 at The Healthy
Rhythm Community Art Gallery in Fairfield, Texas.
Pat O’Hare is a Geneva-based photographer. He
has exhibited in Switzerland, England and the USA,
and he recently undertook a commission in the
Lower East Side of New York.
All of the images in this book, and many more, are

LEFT BEHIND Image from Another Place, a piece of modern sculpture by Antony Gormley, which consists of cast iron sculptures of the artist’s own body, facing towards the sea at Crosby Beach, near Liverpool.

BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER KHAN The Khan is a river in Laos that runs parallel to the Mekong near Luang Prabang.

IN STEP IN PETRAFour men walking through the ruins of Petra in Jordan. The fact that they are perfectly in step with each other is the result of great patience. Actually, it is a complete fluke.
EAMES CHAIRS Classic chairs designed by Charles and Ray Eames, who wanted to design beautiful but affordable furniture. These ones are outside the Vitra Museum in Germany.

VITALETA The building on the left surrounded by the trees is the Chapel of the Madonna di Vitaleta, one of the most photographed churches in Tuscany. It is situated in the beautiful Val D’Orcia south of Siena.

UTRECHTSESTRAAT Utrechtsestraat is my favourite street in Amsterdam. It is lined with great restaurants, cafés and shops, including Concerto, one of the best record shops in the world.

CONTEMPLATION Three people deep in thought on a boat cruising in Sognefjord in Norway. It is the largest fjord in Norway and the third longest in the world.

LAGO MAGGIORE Lake Maggiore is a large lake located on the south side of the Alps. This image shows the ferry leaving Isola Bella to arrive in Stresa, which was where the image was shot.
