CIRCLE (the Central Illinois Regional Chambers Legislative Effort) isgoing to Springfield on Thursday, May 9, and they want you to join them.

Various regional chambers, including the Greater Decatur Chamber ofCommerce, are working together to advocate for a common agenda withkey members of the Illinois General Assembly.

Based on a survey of its members, important issues across the regionthat will be discussed are:

• Public pension reform• Minimum wage increase• Timely payment of bills• Workers’ compensation reformAccording to a survey recently conducted of its members by the Decatur

Chamber of Commerce, over 88 percent of respondents oppose aminimum wage increase, citing such an increase would essentiallydestroy the local economy and force many local businesses to shut downentirely.

The cost to participate in the CIRCLE event is $35 per person andincludes breakfast, a luncheon, issue briefings and delegate materials.

GeoCash is Central Illinois’ newest Scavenger Hunt game.The Chamber Business Expo is the place to go connect with professionals

GeoCash and the Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce are teaming upat this year’s Chamber Business Expo to host various Bingo ScavengerHunt GeoCash games and award great prizes.

The goal of the Bingo Scavenger Hunt is to collect signatures from any ofthe exhibitors at the Expo that meet clues on corresponding bingo cards. Toclaim squares, you must obtain the signature of the mentioned vendor. Allcards are subject to verification.

Once the participant collects all the signatures from the correspondingexhibitors, they can enter their GeoCash bingo card into a drawing to winfantastic prizes! There are three games to choose from:

Game 1 will be “4 Corners Bingo.” The first person to bring a 4 cornerbingo to the GeoCash booth will win a gift card.

Game 2 will be “Straight Bingo.” The first person to bring a regular bingoto the GeoCash booth will win a gift card!
