Mother was Elizabeth of York and father was king Henry VII, king of England and Lord of Ireland

Henry VIII`s life:

Married Catherine of Aragon ( 1509 )

At the time of wedding the king was 17 years old and Catherine was 23 years old

On Midsummer's Day, Sunday, 24 June 1509, Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon were anointed and crowed together by the Archbishop of Canterbury at a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abby

Catherine gave birth several times but they were stillborn or died shortly after the birth. On 18 February 1516, Catherine delivered a healthy girl who was named Mary.

Her father was Thomas Boleyn, 1st Earl of Wiltshire and her mother was Lady Elizabeth Howard.

Anne of Cleves (1515 –1557)The fourth wife of Henry VIII

She was a German noblewoman and Queen of England from 6 January 1540 to 9 July 1540

Married on 6 January 1540 at the royal Palace of Placentia in Greenwich, London by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer.

The marriage was never consummated, and she was not crowned queen consort. Following the annulment of their marriage, Anne was given a generous settlement by the King, and thereafter referred to as the King's Beloved Sister.

She was 42 years old when she died and it was probably cancer.

She never gave birth to child

Catherine Howard (1518–1524 – 13 February 1542) The fifth wife of Henry VIII

She was Queen of England from 1540 to 1541

Her father was Lord Edmund Howard and her mother was Joyce Culpeper

She married on 28 July 1540 at Oatlands Palace, in Surrey

She did not have children

Death reason: she was beheaded on the 13 February 1542 because of betrayal

When she was beheaded, she was only 17- 24 years old.

Catherine Parr (1512 – 1548)The sixth wife of Henry VIII

Queen consort of England and Ireland from 1543- 1547

She married Henry VIII on 12 July 1543

Catherine enjoyed a close relationship with Henry's three children and was personally involved in the education of Elizabeth and Edward, both of whom became English monarchs

She had a daughter - Lady Mary Seymour

She was also the most-married English queen, as she had a total of four husbands

She died on 7 September 1548, cause of death is unspecified.

He had three children. His first Child was Mary Tudor who became Queen Mary I (Bloody Mary). His second Child was Elizabeth who became Queen Elizabeth I (the Virgin Queen) and his third Child was Edward who became King Edward VI

He was an extremely tall man and his height was six foot four inches tall

King Henry VIII is most often associated with the traditional English song Greensleeves and some believe that he wrote the words and lyrics of Greensleeves for Anne Boleyn during their turbulent courtship

By 1534 King Henry VIII broke with the Church in Rome and passed the Act of Supremacy

He established himself as head of the Church of England

He fathered Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I

He lived at Greenwich Palace

Henry Vlll was a great athlete in his youth. Enjoyed hunting, archery, jousting and tennis.

He spoke French, Spanish, Latin and some Italian and was a good musician.
