HENRY VIIHenry Tudor declared himself king, took Elizabeth
of York, uniting the surviving house of York and Lancaster, and acceded to the throne as Henry VII. He was the king of England and Wales.
He married Elizabeth of York in order to prevent the house of York trying to kill him. Other problems he had were that the country had no money, law and order and fear of a Spanish invasion.
Henry Tudor managed to make peace with Spain so married his eldest son with Catherine of Aragon. She married Henry VIII after Arthur's death.
Henry VIII had six wives: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anne of Cleves, Kathryn Howard, Katherine Rarr. Religion was immensely important to Henry VIII. He were a roman catholic until the pope refused to give him the divorce so he created his own church protestant and Catholics, it was the church of England.
