Wishing you a beautiful holiday. In the US, we celebrate Thanksgiving on the fourth Thursday in November. We are looking forward to spending some special time with family and enjoying our meal together. My cousins and family in Montreal already had their Thanksgiving. Danger At Baird's Den

'Kate Baird planned to have a quiet, boring summer in her small town in the mountains of North Carolina, cleaning bathrooms in her family’s bed and breakfast, Baird’s Den. Her mother was laid up with a broken leg and Kate would have to help her out all summer. Her world is turned upside down when she finds out her cousin, who she doesn’t exactly get along with, is coming for the entire summer to help them out.Just when things can’t get any worse, Kate finds out that there is a huge secret in her small town. Some of the residents aren’t who they say they are. What are they hiding? Kate, her friend Jeremy, and her cousin Taylor set out to solve this mystery, but at what cost? Can they escape the danger they have gotten themselves in? Will they be able to survive?'

I read the book entirely on my iphone using ibooks. It was a great story and I was captivated to find out what the mystery was all about. I have been enjoying more and more ebooks lately with all the new technology. Amazon is a great resource to find fun and exciting stories from new Authors or ones you love.

While I was reading the book I connected with the characters and would love to see a sequel about Kate's adventures. You know you've enjoyed a book when you start thinking about what they are doing in their lives after the book ends.

1. Choose a Backdrop: When making a decision on the Photo Booth the Backdrop is an important way to change the look and feel of the photos.

2. Camera Setup: A great camera can make all the difference in the results of the photos. The camera setup with tripod and flash will help capture the perfect moments.

3. Lighting: Where and when you are taking the pictures can change the lighting of the photos. Sometimes people can rent lights to provide extra exposure of the snapshots.

4. Who's in Charge: Determine who is going to run the photo booth or if you are going to have several photos taken at a time with different poses.

5. Props: With funny hats or accessories you can really increase the fun and change the atmosphere of the photo booth.

Have you ever used Pinterest? I've been enjoying using the service for several months now. The one thing I like is how I am able to see a stream of interests from people all over the world. If I like the pin I just simply Repin it to my virtual board. I've created a My Style category that allows me to save my favorite fashions.

I've also tried a lot of new recipes by seeing the delicious pictures and clicking on the instructions. The other feature I like to use is the ability to upload pictures. I've created a Board called Companies I Love and I can save websites here and revisit them when I want to. The picture below is of my kids' basketball league, Southwest Florida Youth Basketball.

There are so many fun things to do at parties. I

was invited to my friend, Megan DiPiero, Photography party and she had set up a photo booth. Everyone took funny pictures and random poses. They added many accessories to make it special and funny. Megan's a professional photographer, so the pictures were taken with her amazing brand new camera. It was awesome to see the edited results after the party.

As I was browsing online I found something that my daughter would love, an autograph from a Disney Princess. All I had to do was give Disney a call or send them a request in the mail from my daughter. Here are a few tips that could help you if you want to get an autograph from an author, a Disney character, or a Celebrity.

If you write a letter to a character at Disney (Walt Disney World Communications, P.O. Box 10040, Lake Buena Vista, Fl 32830), they will send you an autographed photo back...cute! www.disney.go.com

Recipe CornerThanksgiving Day is the next holiday we look forward to as a day of rest, fellowship; and, of course, eating a wonderful meal! We celebrate Thanksgiving each year on the fourth Thursday in November. Most of us know this day goes back to the16th century when the first Thanksgiving dinner is said to have been shared between the Pilgrims and Indians (or, to be politically correct, the indigenous people of the land).

After crossing the Atlantic in 1620 on an arduous trek aboard the Mayflower, the 102 Pilgrims suffered many hardships including storms, bad living conditions, and food shortages. The weather was so cold and food supplies so low, almost half the colony died that winter. They were saved the next spring when an Indian taught them to grow food on the land. In the fall, though some historians contend the Pilgrims would have held a day of prayer and fasting to thank God, most believe the first Thanksgiving feast was held to thank God for their survival and bounty of corn, beans and pumpkins. Without this food, they may not have lived through another winter! Indians and Pilgrims alike were invited to this three-day feast.

Historical facts passed down from the colony leader didn’t mention turkey was on the menu: but the feast definitely included geese, ducks, venison, fish, berries, and more. While they may not have had pumpkin pie, they did have boiled pumpkin. Also, with little wheat for flour, it’s doubtful they had any bread unless the Indians knew how to make corn flour.

Through succeeding years, many fall events focused on a day of Thanksgiving. In the 1860’s magazine editor, Sarah Josepha Hale, wrote a series of articles supporting a national Thanksgiving day. Finally, in 1863, President Lincoln officially recognized the last Thursday of November as a national holiday called “Thanksgiving.

I thought this Green Beans & Brussels Sprouts Casserole would be a nice variation to the traditional Green Bean Casserole. Whatever you prepare, have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Outdoors5 Places that offer Fun and Adventure.

1. Visit the St. Marks National Wildlife RefugeDuring the months of October and November the Monarch Butterfly migrates down to warmer climates. The Great Migration of millions of butterflies can be seen in Florida. You can visit the over 68,000 acre park and see first hand the butterflies on the trail.

2. Rails to Trails ConservancyIf you have a love for bicycling and getting outdoors, visit http://www.railstotrails.org/ The website offers information on nationwide trails from former rail lines. You can bike along the nearly 20,000 miles of rail-trails. They are celebrating 25 years and going strong and represent all 50 states.

3. Cross a Famous BridgeIf you're in California, the Golden Gate Bridge is something that will take your breath away. 2012 marks its 75th anniversary. Visit the website http://goldengatebridge.org/ for news and updates. The majestic architecture was completed in 1937 and cost over $35 million dollars. It is estimated that about nine million people from around the world visit the bridge each year.

4. The IditarodHead North to Alaska and during the winter months you can join in on watching the Iditarod Dog sledding races. Alaska also has the most amazing ice sculptures events. Have you heard of the Fur Rendezvous? It's a yearly winter celebration of Alaska's fur trapping and trading heritage that is held in Anchorage. Fun for the whole family.

5. European AdventureSome go to Europe for a winter adventure and visit places like Switzerland to do some skiing, snowboarding, and enjoying the beautiful Swiss Alps. There is so much history in Europe, and any time of year it would be considered an outdoor fun and adventure destination. I'd like to see the Eiffel Tower with the bright lights and romance of winter.

Greeting Card AppsIt's the time of year again to get out the holiday greeting card list and begin sending cards, either electronically or in the mail. There are so many options and I've highlighted a few apps I like to use for the holiday season. We also have some great tips from "Into Tomorrow," byBeth Gatrell, on the new technology that is available.

Into Tomorrow's Tech Tip of the Week

Tech out your favorite Holiday greetings and invitations …

"With the holiday season approaching now is the best time to create and order your very own Holiday Cards and Invitations. If you are looking to create the perfect one, try using one of the many online sites available like Photo Affections or Crane & Co. to design your own to be shipped right to your door. PaperStyle and Shutterfly are other great sources where you can also create lots more personalized holiday fun! If you prefer to pick up your holiday cards you can go to national sites like Walgreen's and create your own for your nearest in-store pick up. You can also send video greeting cards via See Me Greetings, Jib Jab and Card Funk. And of course you can check out some cool apps like Red Stamp and Holiday Postage to send holiday fun right from your phone. Feel free to share your holiday greetings with us at "Into Tomorrow" by posting on our Facebook Fan Page"Into Tomorrow"Beth Gatrell www.intotomorrow.com

Card Apps!

Create your holiday card right from your phone and email it too.

"Sincerely Ink," is a beautiful holiday card program. You can edit your photo and add it to their many designs and layouts. Once you're done you can save it or mail it for a fee to your friends and family. This is a FREE app.

I've been using "Red Stamp," it's a great app that allows you to create your card and post it online, email it to friends or pay to get it printed. They've just been voted Best of the Web by InStyle Magazine.FREE app.

"SnapShot Holiday Postcard" is something I haven't tried yet. It does cost for the app but the nice thing is that you get your first postcard sent for free. The layout is stylish and lets you add captions and borders. .99 cents.
