Michael Curry

•  Michael Curry is the Principal of Business Contingency Services for The Vanguard Group, Inc., a leading provider of comprehensive investment management services based in Malvern, Pennsylvania. In this position, he is responsible for global business contingency planning, development, maintenance and testing.

•  Mike began his career with Deloitte, LLP, a public accounting firm and since has held audit and management positions of increasing responsibility with several successful organizations including Philip Morris Companies, Inc., The Washington Post Company, Marriott Corporation and The Zurich Insurance Group. Mike’s educational background includes the U.S. Naval Academy and the University of Baltimore. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP). Mike is a registered representative and holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Series 6, 63 and 26 licenses.

•  Curry is an advocate and active member of several financial services industry professional organizations including the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), the Association of Contingency Planners (ACP), the Securities Industry Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and Chester County FIRST. Mike currently serves as Chairman of Chester County FIRST – a regional private/public partnership coalition.

Craig Stock

•  Craig Stock is the Principal of Corporate Marketing and Communications for Vanguard. This group’s mission is to help tell Vanguard’s story to clients, prospective clients, and crew.

•  The group’s communications work includes: Creating fund annual and semiannual reports, printed and online shareholder newsletters, and investment information; and producing internal communications in printed and online formats. The group also supports the Retail and Institutional Marketing and Communications groups with centralized services, including: –  Market research, client data reporting and analytics, and client e-mail operations. –  Advertising. –  Conference and event planning. –  Creating video and multimedia web content. –  Brand management.

•  Before joining Vanguard in 1995, Stock was a journalist, working as a financial reporter, editor, and columnist at The Philadelphia Inquirer from 1981 through January 1995.

Robert Kagel

•  Robert Kagel is the Deputy Director of Emergency Management for the Chester County Department of Emergency Services.

•  Bobby is responsible for implementing all phases of the comprehensive emergency management program in Chester County and coordinating with the 73 municipal emergency managers, 45 police departments, 52 fire departments, 32 emergency medical service organizations, and numerous local, county, regional, state agencies and private sector organizations on emergency management issues.

•  He also serves as adjunct faculty at the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg, MD.

Joe Luczkowski

•  Joe Luczkowski is a volunteer Regional Disaster Center Coordinator for the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

•  The Regional Disaster Coordination Center functions as the emergency services dispatch function of the American Red Cross. The RDCC dispatches disaster action teams for fires, building collapses, floods and other disasters, including evacuations caused by disruption of utilities, water main breaks, gas leaks and other hazmat situations. It continually monitors local and national media, in addition to being in direct contact with Philadelphia Fire Command and the Office of Emergency Management. Services run from providing emergency housing for victims of a single family dwelling fire to opening multiple shelters in events such as Hurricane Sandy. In addition to Joe's position at the RDCC, he is also a Disaster Action Team Captain, leading teams of volunteers to local emergencies to assist clients. Joe is also an advanced instructor in Disaster Services.

•  Prior to retirement and volunteering for the American Red Cross, Joe spent approximately 35 years in various forms of communications, the last 9 years as a Global Media Manager and Senior Event Planner for GE. Joe is also a United States Navy veteran, having served as a Communication Technician seconded to NATO Southern Command, Control and Communications in the Mediterranean.

§  Hurricane Sandy: 15 Shelters open over a 3 day period, housing over 1,000 clients over a 5 county area. Resource strained, focus of National ARC on New York/New Jersey. I was Deputy Director of Operations for the region, the consequence of being the volunteer shadow for Leo Pratte, the Regional Director of Disaster Services.

§  Saturday evening April 06, 2013 in Philadelphia. Two multiple alarm fires occurring simultaneously with clients displaced at opposite ends of the city. I was the Wednesday and Saturday evening Captain of the City Disaster Action Teams.
