The Ascent Lock by Truth Hardware isour ultra flexible variation on the clas-sic European style Euro GrooveLocking System. With multi-point sys-tems available for both hinged windowand door systems, the Ascent Lockallows for “plug n play” adaptabilityfor a wide range of applications with-out sparing on the quality and reliabili-ty that you expect from TruthHardware.

Designed for aluminum hinged win-dow and doors, this multi-point lockingsystem is designed to fit most commonEuropean style profile grooves. Withvarious keeper designs to fit a widerange of frame styles and handleswhich are interchangeable and recon-figurable for maximum “in-house”flexibility, the Ascent System has beendesigned to help manufacturers pro-duce a reliable and attractive windowand door system

EASY INSTALLATIONThe Ascent System consists of pre-assembled components which, com-pared to competitive systems, greatlyreduces the effort needed to install thishardware. Simple “slide-in” designensures quick production rates and vir-tually mistake proof installation.Combine this with standardized fasten-ers which helps keep the number ofinstallation tools to a minimum andyour manufacturing efficiencies havebeen greatly enhanced.

ADJUSTABILITYTruth’s Ascent System offers adjusta-bility of both the lock point and thekeeper producing maximum mountingflexibility and allows each installationto be optimized for peak performanceand ease of operation. Lock point loadcapacity is +300 lbs per roller.

STYLISHAscent handles are available in both“classic” and “radius” styling acrossthe window and door offering to helpcomplement the décor of their sur-roundings. Both handle designs areavailable in single- or double-throwlocking mechanisms and a range of 4standard finishes which coordinatewith existing Truth Hardware offerings.

WINDOW SYSTEMSOur window lock system provides awide range of available drive compo-nents which enable almost any lockingapplication to be accommodated.From corner drives which allow lock-ing of up to 3 sides on the same sash,to shoot bolts for integrated terracedoor applications, our system providesa solution. Rollers on all active lockpoints help reduce operating force tosupport ADA requirements.

DOOR SYSTEMSWe also have door handles andescutcheons style matched to the win-dow handles to provide coordinatedstyling from window to door for com-bination applications. The door lockdrive also utilizes the same lock drivecomponents for easy integration in toyour profile systems.

FINISH:Handles are available in a range of 4standard decorative powder coatedfinishes. All functional componentsare finished in satin “anodized” alu-minum plating for maximum dura-bility and corrosion resistance.

ORDERING INFORMATION:Because of the variety of windowand door profiles on the market,Truth recommends that you contactTruth Hardware’s ProductSpecialists to help you identify thecomponents that will best meet yourrequirements and to provide applica-tion assistance when requested. Toassist us in helping you identify theproducts you need, please be pre-pared to provide Truth with the typeand style of profile that you aremounting your hardware to.

RECOMMENDED SCREWS:Types of screws required determinedby material of profile used. SeeTech Note #11. Refer to drawingsfor complete information on screwtype and quantity needed (sold sepa-rately).

TRUTH TIPS:1. Truth recommends that whendesigning a hinged window the sashwidth should be limited to no greaterthan 66% of the sash height. A sashwidth that exceeds 66% could devel-op sash sag over the life of the win-dow. Refer to Truth Tech Note # 3for more information dealing withsash sag prevention.

2. When selecting mounting screwsfor Truth hardware, coating compati-bility is one of the most importantcriteria. For best corrosion resis-tance the coating on the screws showbe the same as the coating on thehardware. For more information seeTruth Tech Note #11.

3. On some window designs, bind-ing can be experienced on the hingeside of the window between the out-ermost edge of the sash and the

jamb. This problem occurs whenswitching from standard to and“egress” hinge. If a window systemis designed to work with an“egress” hinge, the window systemwill work with all other TruthConcealed Casement Hinges. Whenbinding is encountered, three solu-tions are available; a) move hingelocation toward outside of the sash,b) increase the clearance betweenthe sash and jamb, and c) decreasethe thickness of the sash.

4. Truth’s Euro style door lock sys-tem utilizes a commonly availableEuropean style lock cylinder, avail-able from Truth hardware.
