It is a great honor and pleasure for us to invite you cordially to participate in the Second International Symposium on Process Chemistry (ISPC 2011) which will be held in Kyoto during 10-12 August, 2011, under the auspices of the Japanese Society for Process Chemistry (JSPC).JSPC was founded in 2001, just beginning of this century. It organizes summer and winter symposia in a year. Members of JSPC belong to pharmaceutical and chemical industries, manufacturers of pharmaceuticals intermediates, universities, and so on. A number of participants to the symposia are yearly increasing, e.g., 419 in 2002 summer symposium → 771 in 2010 summer symposium. Furthermore, the First International Symposium on Process Chemistry, ISPC 2008, came to an end with great success by 996 people participating. Both industrial and academic chemists who have interests on process chemistry will be cordially invited to ISPC 2011 to present and discuss the recent progress of various areas of process chemistry.ISPC 2011 will include keynote lectures by top runners of process chemistry in the world, selected short oral presentations (selected from applicants of poster presentations), poster presentations, and exhibitions. The exhibition will offer good opportunities to provide process chemistry researchers with the latest information on scientific tools, information processing technology, reagents and books that would help support and promote their research activities. In this connection, I hope companies will understand the purpose of ISPC 2011, and will introduce their latest technologies and products at the exhibition. We look forward to seeing you in Kyoto.Sincerely,
