Gosford Times 21st July 1916 Mrs Hall has three sons at the front, and it is understood that two of the three boys still at home are enlisting shortly.they have been eager to go this long time by. The Hall family lately acquired a block on the Murray Estate here, and it is the desire of the boys to help their mother get things a bit ship shape before taking their departure.
Gosford Times 24th May 1917 DOORALONG
(From Our Correspondant) Mrs Hall has been officially informed that her son Cecil, has been killed in action in France. The other son, Robert, was killed in action last August. He was at first reported missing, and his death was not officially announced until recently. A third son is now reported missing.
Gosford Times 31st May 1917 Private C Hall, son of Mrs Hall, of Dooralong, is reported to have been killed in France on 6 th May. Mrs Hall has five sons at the front, two of whom have given their lives fighting against the Huns.
