Haiti Earthquake Emergency

Thousands are feared dead after a massive earthquake hit Haiti on Tuesday 12 January.

Many buildings were destroyed, trapping countless people

Hundreds of thousands of Haitians are struggling to cope without shelter, water and other basic essentials

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western hemisphere

Half of the 10 million population live on less than €1 a day

‘I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you.’
