Dos & Don’ts of Spring-Summer Hair Getting the perfect hairstyle all starts with proper hair care. To get that gor-geous spring-summer hair remember the following

Dos and Don’ts: DO mist a mixture of apple cider vinegar and

water on hair and scalp after shampooing once a

week. This is an effective way to deeply cleanse

and purify your hair.

DO deep condition your hair but not as much dur-

ing winter. Deep condition your hair every other

week during spring and summer. Use a lighter

hair conditioner for spring and summer seasons.

DO indulge your hair by treating it with oil mask. Warm up a cup of avocado,

or nut oil then comb through your hair, put it in a ponytail then go for your

workout. Afterward, shampoo out with a non-sulfate shampoo. If you have

damaged hair do this once a week, but if you have healthy hair doing it once a

month is enough.

Do go for simple or natural styling. Spring and summer embraces laidback

hair styles. You can try on loose curls, high buns and braids, to mention a

few. These styles are natural and easy to emulate. You won ’ t need to use

hot hair tools a lot plus they are functional and refined so you can wear it from

day to night.

Don ’ t use too much hot hair tools this spring sea-

son and more especially during summer. If you dyed

your hair it has the worst effect on the color. Make sure

that you blow-dry your hair on cool settings and opt for

Velcro curlers for volume.

Don ’ t make any dramatic hair color changes in the

summer. Why? The sun, wind, salt and chlorine can easily fade

hair color. Better stick to more natural and easy-to-maintain colors.

Don ’ t wash hair with shampoo after taking a dip at the beach. Your hair

does not get dirty swimming at the beach. It ’ s only full of sand

and salt. It ’ s better to use a conditioner to cleanse your hair gently

and to avoid stripping it off.

Don ’ t shampoo every day. The key in achieving any hair style is hav-

ing a healthy and manageable hair. Shampooing your hair every-

day does more damage than good - it dries it out! One of the best

hair conditioners that your hair can get are the natural oils from

your hair scalp.

with a blow drier and round brush. To create a textured

why not try on a sassy and smart short hair
