Hello everyone! My name is Dave Schmidt and I am the owner/operator of Guitar Adoptions Inc. I will be your host in this section, so sit back and relax as I tell you a little bit about us. Guitar Adoptions is the offspring of my love of music and beautiful guitars. What started out as a hobby many years ago has grown into one of the largest and most reputable musical instrument dealers in the United States. We are an Internet-based company with years of experience in the industry. Customer service is our #1 priority! We are a privately owned and operated business with a full stocking facility in Northwest Illinois.

Unlike a lot of “online companies” that work out of their homes and/or do not carry inventory, we are a company with a full stock of guitars, amplifiers and accessories you can order seven days a week. Additionally, almost all the photos you see here are done in our own studio so you can see the actual guitar or amp you are buying. Sound clips of guitars are constantly being added, so you not only see what you are buying but can hear it too!

We are not some large corporation that is only focused on the bottom line and pleasing its shareholders. We care about you--our valued customer.

Hi Dave, - I would have wrote yesterday but I played my new G&L all night. Many times when you order something online your not surprised or ‘wowed’ when you open the box... But when I opened my G&L USA ASAT yesterday I was like WOW ! I tuned it up (no setup required) and played my version of John Lee Hookers’ Tupelo, some Hobo blues, and Sweet 16. I was getting all kinds of great tone’s (Amp is a Mesa Boogie Rect-O-Verb 50 Combo) I like all kinds of music so I got some great Jimi Hendrix tones... Bob Marley, and Sweet Leaf by Black Sabbath. Hey Dave, I just wanted you to know I received the G&L ASAT on Friday. It is everything I’d hoped for and more. Right out of the box I noticed the quality and craftsmanship was outstanding. I never even plugged it until I got to the sound check on Saturday evening. I cranked it up through my Zinky Custom Encore (60 watt/3 channels) and I couldn’t believe the clarity and fatness in the tone. I’ve been playing Fender Telecasters for almost 17 years, but I didn’t know what I was missing. I say this with the highest convic-tion, “This guitar blows away my Fender 63 custom shop model”. As a working musician, I’ve searched high and low for right “all around guitar”. I believe my quest is over. They people at G&L have really done their homework on what a working guitar should be. I have bought, sold and traded many dozens of musical instruments since 1965. In over 44 years, I have never received better service than from Dave and Guitar Adoptions. We sometimes wonder how the transaction will go when we’re quoted a price that is so much lower than from anyone else. But there is no need to worry with Guitar Adoptions. Every time I called or emailed, Dave, the owner, either answered the phone or returned my call or email personally within hours. That included a holiday!!!
