Explore the beautiful alpine region of Bavaria & Austria by day and enjoy Square Dancing by night.

Travel with top national callers to beautiful Southern Ger-many. This is not a typical rushed whirlwind European tour. Stay in one modern Bavarian style hotel in the picturesque village of Grassau, located between Munich and Salzburg, nestled on the edge of the Alps. Tour by luxurious motorcoach daily and later to return to our hotel for square dancing and dinner. Pack your bags only once and avoid dragging suitcases on and off buses with endless city tours. The price is the best part; only $5,570 per person, based on dou-ble occupancy. That’s it! One price includes round trip airfare from most US cities, all taxes, all your breakfasts, all your eve-ning meals except two, all transportation, all square dance en-tertainment, plus all entrance fees to all the attractions listed. Compare this tour with any cruise or any other European trip and it can’t be beat for price, entertainment value and personal attention.

Registration is based on first come first served. These tours can sell out early, so we strongly suggest you register early to reserve your space.

Registration deposit: To reserve your space, send a minimum of $250 per person registration deposit. You may cancel with a total refund on all deposits, except $50 per person admin fee up to February 1, 2016. If you wish to use your credit card, give us a call.

After February 1, 2016 – Second payment of $3,000 total per person is due: $1,500 per person is nonrefundable until June 1, 2016. We will be purchasing your nonrefundable airfare at this time.

After June 1, 2016 - Final payment due: Total tour cost - 100% non-refundable. Cancellation & medical travel insurance is highly recommended.

Tour prices are based on two persons sharing one room. Private single rooms are available for an additional $400 per person.

Tour Cancellation / Interruption and Medical Insurance: We strongly recommend favorable consideration. It provides financial protection for cancellation, interruption and medical expenses caused by reasons stated in the policy. This coverage pays for loss of deposits and additional expense due to unforeseen illness, injuries to you, a traveling partner or immediate family member. It also covers lost baggage, travel documents, medical expense, emergency assistance and accidental death. We recommend Allianz Global Assistance - www.allianztravelinsurance.com 1-800-284-8300. The easiest way to get signed up is to simply call us and we will enroll you. If you purchase this coverage yourself, include our agency number F027712 so they know it’s with Crisp Tours. This is a separate insurance plan and is not connected to Crisp Tours in anyway.

Foreign exchange: The major risk factor in pricing your trip is based on the cost of the Euro. For every .01 increase above 1.45 Euro to the dollar, there will be an increase of $25 per person. For example, if the exchange rate becomes 1.47 to one dollar when you make your final payment, there will be an increase of $50 per person. To lock in your tour price, you may wish to prepay your trip early. This will enable us to move your money into Euros and your trip cost will not increase if the Euro increases in value to the dollar.

Not included: Entrance fees to optional attractions not listed as advertised, ground transportation costs when doing own air arrangements or missed connections, personal items, telephone calls, trip insurance, laundry, gratuities, beverages, lunches, two dinners, food and drink items not on our scheduled menus.

Responsibility: We have made arrangements with airlines, hotels and other independent suppliers to provide you with the services you purchased. We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for your vacation. However, we do not accept any liability for the actions or omissions of these independent suppliers, over whom we have no direct control. We cannot control such factors as weather, government travel restrictions, mechanical breakdowns, your physical, medical or mental disabilities, your failure to obtain proper travel documents or your failure to follow travel instructions. Every effort will be made to provide you with the service and places of interest we have described to you. However, all prices, descriptions, activity scheduling and places of interest are subject to change without notice if we feel it would be beneficial to the group. If services included in this tour cannot be supplied, or there are changes in the itinerary for reasons beyond our control, we will attempt to arrange other provisions of comparable services.

Airline Tickets: We will notify you of your airline itinerary as soon as we have made your reservations. Your tickets will be sent to you immediately thereafter, in the form of e-tickets via e-mail. It is your responsibility to have valid ID, passports and ticket information available at your port of departure.

Tour Extensions: If you wish to depart before or return later than the scheduled tour, or choose to purchase the land package only, you must let us know before February 1, 2016. We can usually make these arrangements at little or no extra cost to you.

Land Package Only: If you make your own air arrangements, upgrade to Business or 1st Class, subtract $900 per person. You will then be responsible to meet our bus at the Munich Airport or at the hotel in Grassau. If you are unable to meet the bus because of your schedule, we may be able to arrange transportation to or from the hotel at your expense. Our hotel is: HOTEL SPERRER, Ortenburger Strasse 5, 83224 Grassau, Germany, Tel: 011-49-(0)8641-2011. Fax: 011-49-(0) 8641-1881 (The zero (0) is not used preceding the local number when in Germany.)

Participants: Crisp Tours reserves the right to accept or reject any person as a tour participant and the right to expel one from the tour any time a participant whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of the tour group. Crisp Tours is not responsible to provide individual assistance for walking, getting on and off busses, breathing or hearing assistance devices, special dining requests or other special personal needs.

Meet Your Hosts

Tom & Gina have conducted tours to Grassau over the past 25 years. They both speak German and will make all tour arrangements; taking you to places of interest that most tourists miss. They have a close relationship with the hotels and the bus company in Grassau. Gina was born and raised in the small Bavarian village of Koenigsdorf just south of Munich. Tom and Gina were married in Bad Toelz, Germany in 1964 and have two children and four grandchildren.

Meet Our Featured Callers

Jerry Story started calling at the young age of 14 in Fairfield, IA. He married his high school sweetheart, Kristy in 1976 who was in his second beginner class. Two children, Joshua and Jacob, soon followed and his career picked up momentum. He found himself touring full time calling dances and festivals coast to coast and in a dozen different countries. Many recordings of Jerry's calling and teaching were made available to new dancers and callers throughout the world and have had a great influence in the growth of square dancing, especially in Saudi Arabia and Sweden. He has served as a Board of Governors’ member in CALLERLAB and is dedicated to the preservation of Modern Western Square Dancing. In the spring of 2002, Jerry and Kristy, along with lifetime friend and business partner Tony Oxendine, opened Pride RV Resort in Maggie Valley, NC

Tony Oxendine has emerged as one of the most popular and sought after national callers for festivals and dances. His professional musical background and natural ability has enabled him to reach an incredible vocal range unmatched by any other professional caller. He is a graduate of SC University, majoring in math and computer science – a perfect match for developing a choreographic callers’ mentality. He travels over 300 days a year calling dances worldwide. He is an accredited caller coach, continues to serve on the CALLERLAB board of governors and has served as the organizations chairman of the board. Tony is the recipient of CALLERLAB’s highest honor, the precious Milestone Award. Tony is Editor of Square Dancing Today, the largest full-color, full size worldwide square dance magazine. In the spring of 2002, Tony, along with his lifetime buddies Jerry Story and Larry Letson opened Pride RV Resort and Maggie Valley Square Dance Vacations in Maggie Valley, NC.

Tom Crisp started calling in 1968 while stationed in Germany and has been active ever since. He served as president and training director of the European Callers & Teachers Association and conducted several tours and vacation weeks while in Germany. Tom currently travels as a guest caller for clubs in and around the state of Arizona. He especially enjoys contras, quadrilles and traditional squares. Tom served 26 years in the USAF - half his military career was spent in Germany.
