Plot

Act 1 – A depressed drunken man who goes by the name of Tom is reflecting on his family who he thinks has been killed, he sits there thinking of memories and getting more worked up and upset about the whole situation. His thoughts then change to revenge, to kill the man who ‘killed’ his family.

Act 2 – Tom is planning his revenge on the character who he think killed his family, this character goes by the name of ‘Duke’. Tom at this stage is getting weapons, getting more people to help him find the man who killed his family.

Act 3 – Tom and his other group members find the man who has ‘killed his family’ , it comes close to tom shooting him until he finds that his family have been locked away/hidden from him , this man has been keeping hostage, Tom then shoots him for doing this to him and his family.

Main Characters Tom - false protagonist Duke - antagonist

Tom (aged 30), a very depressed drunken man, who also works as a truck driver has found out that his family have been taken. His hectic dangerous life and he has stopped his job to find out where his family is. Throughout the film you can see that Tom is constantly blaming himself for what has happened to his family, and tries to make himself a better person.

Duke (aged 46), an old school friend of Tom, who thinks that Duke killed his family after an argument. Duke is of similar age to Tom, is male and works as a plumber. He and Tom fell out a few months before the film is set and because of this, Tom is convinced that Duke killed his wife and child. We know that Duke hasn’t killed the family, and has no convictions of being a killer. He is just a normal man caught up in a bad situation.

Film events:

At the beginning of the film, a flashback happens, showing what happened to his family when they got killed (at the end of the film we find out that they weren’t killed but taken away and this flashback was just one of Toms dreams).

Tom sits in his room, drunk and reflecting on his family who he thinks has been taken or murdered, his Wife and one teenaged son. He sits their getting worked up and upset, and starts looking at pictures of him and his family, thinking of the memories they made together. His sadness then turns to anger, regret, and hatred. His thoughts change to wanting to find where his family are and it soon comes apparent that Tom wants to get revenge on Duke.

Tom starts to do research in order to find out where his family are, he does this by talking to people who might know what happened, and eventually finding Duke and killing him. Tom finds out that his family weren't killed, they were just taken. Tom decides to kill Duke even though he didn’t actually kill his family but for what he put him and his family through.

Main Events

A depressed drunken man, Tom, is reflecting on the memories he shared with his family who he thinks has been killed. Getting upset and angry he takes the gun in his hand and gets up.

Tom is planning his revenge on Duke, the character who he think killed his family. At this point, Tom is getting more people to help him find Duke.

Tom and his other gang members find Duke, the man who has ‘killed his family’. Tom comes close to shooting him until he finds out that his family have been taken and hidden from him. We then find out that Duke had kept his family locked away and all this time Tom assumed they had been killed.

Tom then shoots Duke, even though his family weren’t killed, Duke put Tom and his family though this.
