Gridiron Golf Getaway is an experiential escape featuring current Pro Football Stars from across the country. Held at St. Kitts Resort, this trip combines a luxury vacation with the experience of golfing and socializing with the stars.

TEN5NINE LLC had researched and targeted many resorts in which to host its inaugural Gridiron Golf Getaway, G3. While all had their share of positive attractions, none compared to St. Kitts and its Royal Beach Golf Course and Casino. Its signature 15th Hole overlooking the tropical Atlantic Ocean was mesmerizing and provided many with a once in a lifetime golf shot.

The full casino provided late night entertainment for all including BlackJack tables, roulette, craps, slots and poker tables. Not too mention, a sportsbook and horserace area. Combining all these elements laid a foundation for a great weekend of golfing, dining, and entertainment.

The hotel’s main courtyard opened up into a poolside area with restaurants and bars leading up to the beachfront property. Guests had incredible views of the courtyard and waves crashing onto the beach from the balconies of their rooms.


After a welcome speech from Rosevelt, guests were able to mingle with the athletes, like San Diego’s Shawn Phillips in his newly acquired Muze “9” t-shirt. As the night wore down, the crowd dwindled as folks began preparing for golf the next day.

Night 1 saw all athletes, participants and families gather on the Ocean View Terrace for a Welcome Reception. Guests and athletes were provided with complimentary raffle tickets. Sports Identity’s Josh Boyle helps Rosevelt Colvin draw to see who would win a $600 pair of Chrome Heart sunglasses, which Bianca Wilfork took home much to the dismay of Mrs. Adalius Thomas, and a $500 pair of Ultimate Ears Headphones, snagged by former Patriot Christian Fauria showing off his winning ticket.

Although Vince Wilfork was drinking water, an open bar was provided for attendees.

Montecristo supplied the cigars being enjoyed by many, including Sports Identity President Derek Boyle and guest Mark Rogers, with wife Sheri and son, Sports Identity’s Justin Rogers.


The exclusivity we were targeting was certainly provided by the Royal St. Kitts course. There was nary a sole not participating in G3, and the players and participants were able to play at their own speed and enjoy one another’s company. The course also catered to every need we had, including a rain delay the first day of golf.

First and foremost, we wanted athletes and participants to be well taken care of and enjoying themselves as much as possible. As Rosevelt teed-off, and looked for his ball, Vince provided a laugh that showed us thus far, we were accomplishing our main goal.

Shawn Phillips enjoyed another Montecristo on his way to the tee, while Cleveland’s Terry Cousins showed off a great follow through.

Commonwealth Cash Management, the event’s presenting sponsor, member, Ryan Nestor showed great touch pitching onto the green.

Tight End Christian Fauria, former Bears Quarterback Jim Miller, guest Mark Rogers and Sports Identity President Derek Boyle walk off their 3rd hole after playing through the morning rain.

The cart and course staff also enjoyed themselves, mingling with the athletes and sending them out on the course.

Friday evening had everyone participating in a casino night. Because players’ and participants’ wives were not golfing, we needed to ensure they were entertained as well. Of course the pool and beach helped. During golf, the ladies had an opportunity to go on a donated catamaran ride around the island.

We also hosted a slots tournament and rum tasting that evening, the players’ wives were able to enjoy.

A highlight of the weekend was the Texas Hold ‘Em tourney held. One of our focuses is always a charitable effort. The casino was gracious enough to host the tournament with revenues from buy ins benefiting Easter Seals of MA. All in all, the event ended up raising $3500 for Easter Seals.

Rosevelt had a tough time, shown by his short stack, while Vince took advice from Adalius Thomas which did not work as Vince ended up on the slots.


Aside from athletes and guestsbeing taken care as our top priority, we strived for a truly unique event

that allowed for participants to interact on a personal level with

those they root for on Sundays in fall and winter. These foursome photos

and the events aforementioned certainly illustrate we were able

to execute this.

Aside from the breathtaking Back 9, almost the entire set was alongside the Atlantic, participants were able to speak to athletes about anything from kids, to farming and movies. All the while, playing golf on a destination course with the links to themselves.


G3 is an endeavor we wish to build annual qualities and room for growth each year and aside from these gift cards, sponsor gifts were given in the form of autographed footballs and helmets.

After the second and day of golf, the Awards Banquet was held at the swank Tiger Club in the bottom floor of the hotel. We wanted each participant walking away with something, and charter travel partner Halcyon Jets provided it in the form of $1000 gift cards for each guest.

Vince accepted his Flight Victory Award by giving it a “Tiger Kiss”, while Christian Fauria received his

“Golden Putter” for sinking the longest put on #18.
