GREYSTONE MATTE STAINLESS STEEL

Product DescriptionGREYSTONE Matte Stainless Steel is a rolled-on, non-directional, pebble-like finish designed to minimize the glare of sunlight. This specialty finish, available from AK Steel, combines aesthetic appeal, design flexibility, corrosion protection, strength, long life and low maintenance. This combination of advantages makes GREYSTONE Matte Stainless Steel ideal for roofing systems in a wide range of commercial, residential and marine environments.

In addition, the excellent strength-to-weight ratios of stainless steels result in superior design flexibility that may reduce material and labor costs. Unlike many other roofing materials, GREYSTONE Matte Stainless Steel will maintain finish. As a result, they provide matchless and long-lasting beauty and exceptional durability. GREYSTONE Matte Stainless Steel’s low reflectivity and ease of cleaning are also highly appreciated by designers, architects, builders and owners. Because of its resistance to fading, chipping, and corrosion, maintenance costs are minimal and visual appeal is timeless.

FORMABILITYTypes 304/304L and Types 316/316L have very good formability. Their combination of low-yield strength and high elongation permits successful forming of even complex shapes.

WELDABILITYThese grades of austenitic stainless steels are weldable by common fusion and resistance techniques. Types 304 and 304L are generally considered to be the most common alloys of this stainless class.
