Inculcate regular reading habit !! Read books in HINDI and ENGLISH daily.
Develop the habit of going for Nature walk and playing outdoor games as cycling, playing badminton, cricket, kho-
kho ,hide n’ seek….anything that will make you physically active and strong. As healthy body means a healthy
mind.
Watch educational programmes on television, such as NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY, DISCOVERY channel etc. to
enhance your knowledge.
Visit your grandparents or any relative and learn something productive. Don’t forget to share your experiences with
your friends and teachers when you return to school.
Read newspaper daily to enhance your general awareness, vocabulary , language and comprehension skills.

This Summer let’s explore “TheWorld of Animals”
ENGLISH ACTIVITY - I
Let’s enjoy reading interesting Story books during Summer break.
Read any one Animal Fable (Short Story) and choose your favourite Animal/ Bird
character from that story and do as directed.
1) Make a small hand puppet of your favourite animal/ bird character from the
storybook you have read. Now prepare a short dialogue from the story which you
will speak in the class using your hand puppet.
2) Also write any 20 new words from the story on an A-4 size sheet. Arrange the words
in an alphabetical order, look up the dictionary and write their meaning and use
them in sentence of your own choice.
Whenever you read a good book,
somewhere in the world a door opens
to allow in more light.
Student’s isn’t it a great way to learn new words with their
meanings and usage of the dictionary.

MATHEMATICS
ACTIVITY- I
Tangram is an old Chinese puzzle consisting of flat pieces of shapes called 'tans'. Tangram has
either 5 or 7 pieces. The pieces can be cut out and interesting shapes can be made using
them. Make any 5 Animal shapes using tangram as shown in the picture. This is a Cat
(Diagram 2). (Note: Paste all the animal shapes on A-4 Sheets and compile together.)

Instructions for making a Tangram:
Make a square on a white sheet.
Draw lines as shown in diagram 1.
Fill each part using different colours.
Cut them and arrange to make an Animal shape as shown in diagram 2.
Write the names of the animal.
