What Sponsorshipsdo for us…
Community-supported sponsorships and donations to the Grassfield Bands Program through the Grassfield Band Parents Association (a 501(c) organization) do the following and more:
Help support the purchase of instruments, music and uniforms
Enable travel to compete in local, regional and national championship competitions
Reduce the financial burden of students and their families
Contribute to GFBPA-awarded scholarships to deserving graduating band seniors
Importance of supportingMusic Education
“It is our job, as parents, educators, and friends, to see that our young people have the opportunity to attain the thorough education that will prepare them for the future... We must encourage our youngsters in such pursuits as music education. In addition to learning the valuable lesson that it takes hard work to achieve success, no matter what the arena, music education can provide students with a strong sense of determination, improved communication skills, and a host of other qualities essential for successful living.”
- Edward H. Rensi, President and C.O.O., U.S.A. McDonald's Corporation
Americans have always made music. From the pioneers to the astronauts, music has been a part of our country's character. While we share songs with our children, we are also giving them part of America.
