The plan: START EARLY!!

Start at the junior high school in 7th – 8th grades› Track at risk students according to T-CAP

scores, poor attendance, and grades› Weekly lessons in classrooms on career

choices, study skills, and more.› MECA interest testing for 8th graders

Grades monitored every 6 weeks› If low, placed on at risk list for the next 6-

weeks Check with teachers on any issues with

What we offer at Camden CHS:› Summer school› Credit recovery (Education2020)› Tutoring all week- before & after school

Currently developing a plan for first time credit for students who will be 18 before their senior year of high school.

What is Education2020? An interactive internet classroom

complete with lectures, homework assignments, lab assessments, journal activities, quizzes, and tests.› Students listen on headphones and take

notes.› Students work at their own pace.

Gateway testing practice› Put student in virtual classroom area

(English II, Algebra I, Biology I) for Gateway test they need to pass

Teachers can show a lecture/lesson on smart board/projector and then students can review the same lesson again when they log in.

Education2020 READS to the students using the E-Reader function

Teachers may go and view answers to quizzes/tests so students can be guided in the right direction when answering.› Example: Algebra Credit Recovery when the

teacher does not know algebra
