Graduation Information Sheet McKinney High School Class of 2015 Graduation

Doors open to the public at approximately 1:30 PM *Graduates should arrive to Prestonwood Baptist Church

no later than 1:00 PM

Graduation Basics • Mandatory graduation practice will be on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at

7:30 AM in the Dome at McKinney High School • Seating is first come, first serve. There is no limit to the total number of

guests each graduate will have. • Individual graduation programs will be taken by Flash Photography as the

student receives his/her diploma. Information will be provided to the graduates prior to the graduation practice for those graduates interested in purchasing a photograph.

Required Dress for Graduates

Boys • A white or light colored button down shirt and tie that coordinates with a

navy blue gown • Dark shoes • Dark pants/slacks • Dark socks

Girls • A dress (shorter than the robe, but within the MISD dress code) or dressy

slacks • Dark dress shoes, preferably with low heels (no sandals, tennis shoes, flip

flops or house shoes/slippers) *Graduates should arrive to Prestonwood dressed carrying caps, tassels and gowns. Leave all personal items in your car, at home or with your guests. Cell phones, car keys and purses brought to Prestonwood will be held in a locked room at Prestonwood.

 

 

Prestonwood Baptist Church Guidelines

The following items are not allowed in the facility per church management: Containers, coolers, food or beverage of any kind

Flowers are allowed but not in glass vases or containers Balloons, beach balls, Frisbees, soap bubbles, silly string, glitter, confetti, noise

makers, Bull horns, air horns, laser pens, weapons

Guest Parking There is ample parking at Prestonwood Baptist Church. On the other hand, it is

recommended that you and your family carpool. McKinney High School’s graduation is between the MBHS and the MNHS

graduations – there will be graduation groups exiting and entering. Please arrange a meeting place with your graduate outside of the church so that the

facility can be cleared for the next graduation ceremony.

Additional Guest Information • Carry-in items are discouraged and all bags are subject to inspection for

safety purposes • Cameras are allowed – NO TRIPODS • All patrons must be drug and alcohol free • No lewd, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior will be allowed • Appropriate dress, including shirt and shoes are required • Prestonwood is a NO SMOKING facility (and this includes the parking lot

area) • Family and friends are not allowed to move into the staging areas, graduate

seating or backstage • Only service animals are allowed
