Siemens small gas turbine manufacturing company, Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery Ltd,has existed on its present site in Lincoln for over 50 years. Lincoln is the base for the designand manufacture of world class gas turbines for applications within the Oil and Gas Industry

and Industrial Power Generation (cogeneration).

The business continues to invest heavily in Researchand Development in all areas, but particularly to improve efficiency, further reduce emissionsand to widen the range of fuels that can be used.

The Role

You will be working in the Controls Application Department, taking standard modules,adapting and adding to them to create the final control solution for Gas Turbine drivenCompressors, Pumps or Alternators. Specialised training will be given where required andyou will be working as part of an international team.

Controls Applications provide project specific engineering for gas turbine driven compressor /pump / alternator control systems including elements of:-

Hardware and software engineering.

Control architectural design

PLC and HMI design, implementation and maintenance.

Customer facing

Working in a multi discipline team on multi million pound projects to deliver solutions, on time,to specification and within budget.

Minimum Educational Requirements

Degree: You will be graduating or have graduated Electronic/Controls Engineering degree

Degree classification: 2:2 or above

A highly motivated person with a can do attitude who is results orientated and has a positiveapproach to work and their personal life. This person will need excellent interpersonal skillswill be confident in communicating at all levels and will posses excellent presentation and

leadership skills.

Training & Development

The business offers a 2 year graduate programme with full accreditation from the two majorengineering institutions; IET and ImechE, and is in a position to provide a route toIncorporated or Chartered Engineering status.

You will also take part in the Siemens Graduate Development Programme. This consists of aseries of modules covering the personal and professional skills you will need at this stage inyour career. You will also receive high level job specific training and development.

Additional Information

Although based in Lincoln you may be required to travel, both within the UK andinternationally, and therefore you must be willing and flexible to work on projects away fromhome.
