TIJ 1O1 What is Exploring Technology? Exploring Technology introduces the designing and building of products. Focus will be on developing a product to perform a particular task. Students will have the opportunity to explore different areas of design and the skills required to produce the product. Skill areas range from using basic hand tools to the latest Auto CAD programmes for computers.

Why take this course now? It is important in grade 9 to start exploring as many different job options as possible. This course allows for hands-on experience in many different areas. Students also develop an understanding of the difference between the technical and academic sides of industry.
