Morning Meeting

Students begin the day greeting each other, sharing news and information, participate in a class activity, and go over the schedule of the day. Morning Meeting sets the tone for all students to have a successful and meaningful day. Morning Meeting provides students an opportunity to practice skills of friendliness & social interest. In addition, it helps students to merge social, emotional, & intellectual learning.

Computer Class

Computer Class is very exciting here at TBS. Students continue to learn new skills and learn how to save to their own account on the network.   Students attend computer class with their homeroom teacher, and students are able to go to the computer lab when they need to do extra work.

In addition, students will have their own email address through Avon Public Schools. Students will learn the ins and outs of email, and appropriate email etiquette.

Library

Students in 5th grade visit the library for lessons with the librarian once a week for half of the school year. The second half of the year, grade 5 classes visit the library to work on research projects. Students may visit the library any time for book checkout; students may check out as many books as they wish.

Please checkout our Summer Reading program online on the Avon Public  School website.
