anything that came to mind, when they think about “Sound”

• There were lots of great ideas generated!

something moving back and forth very quickly; vibrations create Sound

• Then we moved onto our first experiment to test out vibrations!

A Partner.A balloon.

• Method:What you have to do-

• 1) Blow up the balloon.2) Hold it against your ear.3) Ask your partner to press their lips against the balloon and speak.4) Repeat steps 3 and 4 but this time you should speak and your friend should listen.

pitch!• Materials: • You will need-

3 bottles, form a group of 3, water, recording sheet

• Method:What you have to do-

• 1) Fill in 100ml of water in first bottle• 2) Fill in 150ml in 2nd bottle• 3) Fill in 200ml in 3rd bottle• 4) Blow across the tops of the bottles (note

the differences)• 5) Tap the bottles (what is the difference?)
