ApprenticeshipsApprenticeships equip you with more competent and better-trained young people. Apprenticeships allow employees to effectively learn on the job and are therefore also ideal if you have staff who are already working but have few or no qualifications. This training allows them to work more productively and gives them better confidence and motivation to work.

Employers that train their staff benefit from increased productivity, better customer satisfaction, improved motivation and reduced costs – all leading to greater profitability.

We offer a wide range of Apprenticeship opportunities that can lead to a huge variety of roles in many different subject areas.

Traineeship programmesTraineeships will ensure 16-24 year olds will have the work skills, Maths and English and work experience needed to start their careers.

Developed in response to business needs, Traineeships ensure that you have the talented workforce required for business success.

GPSTL’s government funded contract is utilised to support training. You are not required to pay young people taking part in Traineeships but are encouraged to support trainees with expenses such as transport.

ATAWe are an Apprenticeship Training Agency recognised by the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS). We offer employment opportunities to young people in a variety of sectors including education, child care and business.

Our approach is distinctly different to any other available in the UK. We work collaboratively and in partnership with local authorities, schools and employers to get a more diverse and locally based workforce.

So, together, we get local people working with local companies. We have a dedicated recruitment team who screen, prepare and match local people to jobs and apprenticeship opportunities.

Advanced Learning LoansWe are proud to offer a suite of professionally delivered loans funded qualifications aimed at those people who want to advance their career or change their occupation.

The loans are provided by the government and paid back only when individuals are earning over £21,000.

Making use of the qualifications that GPSTL offers has helped us offer qualifications to over 200 staff and within my role at Hesley, I work very closely with those at GPSTL to ensure that the service is accurate and relevant for our staff. I also ensure that contact is made between learners and their assessors and give a helping hand where and when required.

Having people at GPSTL that are there to listen to us and take action when required is very important to us and is one of the reasons why the relationship between GPSTL and the Hesley Group is so good.

Stacey Davidson, The Hesley Group

GPSTL has been extremely easy to work with. They are organised and friendly and have an in depth knowledge of Traineeships. GPSTL makes the 12 week process very easy and we look forward to carrying on working together.

I feel that the learners have benefited greatly from attending the programme. They have developed their communication skills and gained confidence and skills by working on our range of community programmes. I consider Traineeships to be a great stepping stone for learners to then progress into an apprenticeship or work.

We work in partnership with Premier League and Football League Trusts on a Traineeship programme funded through the Government.

As Football Community Trusts enjoy a special relationship with their local community, particularly young people, they can engage learners that providers like us are unable to reach.

We will work closely with the Football Community Trusts, to support delivery, recruitment of local young people and programme management. We specialise in working within the education sector, offering more job opportunities in schools than any other provider in the country.

Over the course of 12 weeks Football Trusts will identify a range of potential roles/functions suitable to provide learners with valuable work experience.

The work experience package is designed to provide learners with a range of skills and experience.
