This Institute was selected by the world Bank assisted Vocational Training

Improvement Project and the Government Sanctioned 2 Crores to Upgrade and Starting of

new trades to bring this Institute as Centre of Excellence. Under this Scheme New and

Modern Machineries (ex. CNC) and equipments were Installed to meet the Modern Trend in

Industries. New Trades Spinning Technician and Electrician are going to be started Soon.

SERVICES:

NSS Programme is organized in this Institute to create better Attitude towards the

Society, among Trainees. Since 2006 we conducted NSS Camp in various Villages around

the Dindigul District.

FACILITIES:

1.HOSTEL:-

Separate free Hostel is available for Adi Thiravidar Trainees, run by the

Department of Adi Thiravidar Welfare. Total Beneficiaries were 50. And a Separate hostel

for Backward students (Only Boarding)is also available at a minimum cost of Rs. 236 for

one year Trainees and Rs.246 for two year Trainees.

2.CANTEEN:-

The separate canteen with all facilities is functioning inside the campus for the benefit

of both Days caller and Hostel Trainees.

SUCCESS STORIES:-

The Department conducts Skill Competition Test in State and Central Level Every

Year. Mechanic Diesel trade trainee Selvan. R. Ganesan of this Institute was selected in both

State and Central Level Skill Competition. He was awarded the Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/-

and Rs. 10,000/-. Many Trainees in our Institution were Selected through State Level Skill

Competition Test during 1981, 1993, 2003 and 2008.

During the year of 2010, The Mechanic Diesel trade of Dindigul ITI was given the

Merit Certificate by DGET, New Delhi.

� State of art RO plant installed in the premises, gives hygienic drinking Water for staff and students.

� CNC Milling Machine procured under VTIP Scheme, enables us to train the students with latest technologies.

� To make the students competent in this

modern IT world, various IT Literacy course and soft skills are taught to the students with the help of computer procured under VTIP scheme

� Weekend class conducted to educate and

guide the students to succeed in competitive

exams. Eg: BHELL, Railways, Defense etc.,
