TRW - Principle Cost Engineer in Stampings and Mfg. processes – (contract employee) 3/2014 – 12/2014

Lead the Stamping commodity cost estimators (4) – TRW Steering, Braking products, Electronics, and OSS items.

Coordinate cost model development and training using reliable and consistent information to optimize and implement best in class manufacturing methodology (material price, labor rates, machine rates, etc…)

Developed and Modified existing cross functional cost model’s to ensure data could support supplier Negotiations.

Customize ProCalc/PCS software with reliable and consistent market data (attained from personal experiences and professional networking).

Chrysler - Cost Engineer SCIE – (contractor employee) 2/2013 – 11/2013

Cost Engineer – Performed bottoms up costing on Body in White stampings and welded assemblies, experienced in using Chrysler’s Progressive and Tandem die calculators.

Have estimate and purchasing experience in commodities that contain stamped metallic components for - FEM, Chassis components(frames and various cradles), Engine components, Transmission components, Exhaust systems, Steel – Aluminum.

Review supplier submitted engineering changes to ensure cost are appropriate for changes being made for both tooling and piece costs.

Chrysler systems currently working with include: PentaSAP, GPSIS, Web-CN, Fast-Car, PSV, FTI and, Chrysler’s global costing calculators.

Eberspaecher - North America - Buyer 9/2012 – 2/2013

Managed a stampings budget of $25M in ongoing programs. Worked with Program managers, accounting, and manufacturing plants to ensure uninterrupted deliveries of scheduled/released products. Market testing stamping package’ perform cost analysis on existing parts/programs. Lead buyer on estimating and evaluating supplier cost break downs, which resulted in $150,000 savings on1 part alone.

Metalsa - Capital and Stamping Tooling Specialist 9/2011 - 6/2012

Oversaw global strategic sourcing of tooling and capital expenditures worldwide. Managed a tooling budget of $150M. Responsible for the purchase of tooling, plant upgrades, and equipment, leveraged purchases globally.

Effective in working with Program Management, Engineering, and Production plants in launching new programs. Identified and toured LCC Tooling suppliers in China, Korea and Taiwan in 2012.

Dynamic Control - Purchasing Mgr., HR Mgr., Operations/Production/Out Sourcing Mgr. 2/2009 – 2/2011

Managed Strategic Sourcing and was responsible for $200,000 in cost savings in building upgrade. Managed all outsourcing activities, and purchased all MRO items for outside services. Performed all Human Resource activities as needed. Expertise in negotiating and reviewing existing processes overall knowledge of entire operations from start to

finish, helped identify make vs. buy opportunities. Instrumental in identifying saving opportunities with existing Supply base thru VA/VE, Lean mfg., and Process

flow evaluations. Successfully reduced supply base and reduced cost, very comfortable in presenting results to Executive

Management.

Successfully reduced supply base and reduced cost, and presented results to senior management. Worked with GM Legal Global IT agreements for OnStar (GM) worldwide. Negotiated with Global software companies buying software – GPS, map data, point of interest data, billing

software, and various industry data. Interacted with senior management on a regular basis, presenting various purchasing scenarios. Helped Engineering develop a new Antenna supplier and product from concept to production. Negotiated vendor’s rates and classifications which saved on average 25% of a budget of $90M.

Production Stamping Inc. - 1989 – 12/1998

Having been trained in every department, ending up in operations management of a six plant operation before it was sold in 1998, opened a new Mfg. facility plant which utilized state of the art Robotics. The plant supplied Air Bags (TRW), and Trailer hitches to GM.

Operations management - Oversaw operations for six manufacturing sites, having been part of the strategic team, reporting to President and C.E.O.

Maintenance – Helped create planned maintenance for different type of manufacturing equipment. Quality control helped the QC dept. obtain QS9000 certification, TS19649, PPAP, DFMEA’s, PSO’s and other

workings of the QC dept. Training – trained all 600 company employees for the QS9000 status, and lead Kaisen, lean Mfg., VA/VE

workshops and activities. Tool room – performed tooling repairs, tig welding die sections and tryouts of new tooling. Die setter – set tooling up in various presses, set up steel coils and performed first piece run offs. Inventory control – Worked with the materials planning dept. performed all duties as needed. Production – worked as work area leader, plant supervisor, Plant manager, then to operations manager of six

manufacturing site in S.E. Michigan. Engineering - managed new program products from prototypes to full production parts with GM and TRW.
